Lumiere Welcomes Dwight Richard
Director of Operations
Dwight Richard has been practicing Mental Health and Addictions counseling for over 30 years. He has a Masters Degree in Mental health Counseling from Wright State University. Dwight has worked as a clinical director for several of the area mental health and addictions treatment centers, and now as Director of Operations for Lumiere Healing Centers. He has participated in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has helped agencies receive and maintain state and federal certifications and accreditation repeatedly. Dwight holds independent licenses in both mental health and substance abuse areas. He has been a health officer in 7 counties and has facilitated crisis and involuntary hospitalizations during that time. He is an active member of the tri-county crisis response team and has done post crisis debriefing for numerous first responder and community agencies and schools. Over the last 8 years Dwight has also been a paid part-time police officer and is certified as a field training officer as well as a CIT officer. In substance abuse, Dwight is a past state president of the Ohio Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and has affected policy change at the state level to promote addictions counseling. Dwight also served for several years as a board member for Suicide Prevention Center.
Dwight Richard has rich experience providing and supervising Mental Health and Addictions best practices and incorporates that into his leadership as he passes on what he has learned from so many to the persons he serves now.
